Podcast #184 Where in the World Should I Live?
Ellen is back with the wonderful Jeff Hinshaw (@cosmiccousins).
They talk about the astrology of the moment. Then they take a question from Cindy. Cindy lives in Los Angeles where most of her family also resides. She is an actress/writer/dancer/stand-up comedian and while she loves her work- it is hard to make it all work financially. She wonders if she is living in the right place and if, instead, she should move to the Pacific Northwest and do something totally different career-wise.
Jeff explains the concept of Astrocartography- a system that maps your birth chart against a world map to identify locations on Earth that might resonate with specific aspects of your life and personality. He looks at Cindy’s chart and talks about the pros and cons of a potential move.

GUEST CO-HOST JEFF HINSHAW
Jeff Hinshaw (he/they) is the founder of Cosmic Cousins and has made several contributions to the world of astrology.
Exploring the intersection of astrology and spirituality, Jeff teaches the ways in which astrology can be used as a tool for self-discovery, embodied health, and deeper learning. They discuss the connection between astrology and other esoteric practices, such as tarot, psychology, meditation, and yoga.
Through their substack, newsletter and instagram, Jeff has shared their knowledge of astrology for over a decade, making it accessible to a wider audience. They cover various topics, from the basics of astrology to more advanced concepts.
Jeff works one-on-one with students and clients, for both deep-dive astrology readings and long-term mentorships.
Some of Jeff’s deepest areas of study and research is connected to the Planetoids & Asteroids, including: Chiron, Eris, Black Moon Lilith, Pallas, Vesta, Juno and Ceres. Jeff is captivated by these placements because they offer much needed vocabulary for incorporating more feminine, queer and gender-expansive archetypes into the astrological conversation.
Jeff is a vocal advocate for promoting inclusivity and diversity in the astrology community. They use their platform to highlight and uplift the work of other LGBTQ+, BIPOC and Feminist astrologers, activists, artists and healers from diverse backgrounds.
